The "Ontologies (Pre-Socratic Etudes) for Piano" series, inspired by the philosophies of Heraclitus, Democritus, and Parmenides, offers a unique exploration of ancient thought through modern musical expression. "Lokahi," performed by clarinet, cello, and piano, adds a dynamic layer to the collection, while "Mix Five (A) for Clarinet" introduces a playful and rhythmic element.

The album also includes the "Sonata for Cello and Piano," a three-movement work that showcases Kam's skill in crafting cohesive and emotionally resonant compositions. Each piece on this album is performed with precision and passion, bringing Kam's vision to life.

Dennis Kam, a faculty member at the University, is known for his contributions to contemporary classical music. His works often reflect a deep engagement with philosophical and cultural themes, making his music both intellectually stimulating and emotionally engaging. "Kam: Chamber Music" is a testament to his artistic vision and a must-listen for fans of contemporary classical music.
