He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in composition from the prestigious Juilliard School, where he studied under renowned composers Vincent Persichetti, David Diamond, and Roger Sessions.
Dello Joio's compositions span a wide range of genres, including orchestral, chamber, vocal, and solo works.
