      Album Details

Celebrating his 70th birthday, Julian Lloyd Webber presents "The Singing Strad," a remarkable three-disc collection encapsulating two decades of his illustrious career. Released on April 9, 2021, under the Decca Music Group Ltd. label, this album is a testament to Webber's extraordinary talent and versatility as a cellist.

Spanning a generous 3 hours and 31 minutes, the album features 47 tracks, each a masterclass in classical music. Webber's repertoire is vast and varied, ranging from iconic concertos like Elgar's Cello Concerto in E Minor and Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor to enchanting pieces like "Clair de Lune" and "The Swan." The collection also includes Webber's own arrangements of popular works, such as "Salut d'amour" and "Méditation de Thaïs," showcasing his unique interpretive skills.
