      Album Details

"Insight" is a captivating jazz album by the renowned bassist Gary Peacock, released on September 18, 2009, under Pirouet Records. This intimate collection of 13 tracks is a result of collaborative sessions with pianist Marc Copland, recorded between 2005 and 2007 at Pirouet Studio in Munich. The album spans a duration of 58 minutes, offering a rich tapestry of jazz and free jazz compositions that showcase the deep musical chemistry between Peacock and Copland.

The duo's nearly two-decade-long partnership shines through in each track, from the bluesy "All Blues" to the tender "Sweet and Lovely." The album features a mix of original compositions and reinterpretations of jazz standards, all performed with a delicate balance of spontaneity and precision. Peacock's expressive bass work and Copland's nuanced piano playing create a mesmerizing dialogue throughout the album, making "Insight" a standout in their collaborative discography. Whether you're a longtime fan of jazz or a newcomer to the genre, this album promises an engaging and immersive listening experience.
