In the midst of global lockdowns, Daniel Hope, the renowned South African violinist, found solace and inspiration in music, resulting in the creation of his deeply personal album, "Hope." Released on September 3, 2021, via Deutsche Grammophon, this collection is a testament to Hope's artistry and his ability to connect with audiences on a profound level.

"Hope" is a unique blend of timeless classics and beloved traditional songs, all reimagined with Hope's distinctive touch. The album features stunning arrangements of works by Schubert, Elgar, and Pärt, alongside innovative interpretations of well-known tunes like "Danny Boy," "Dream a Little Dream," and "Amazing Grace." One of the standout pieces is Hope's brand-new arrangement of Ariel Ramírez's inspiring and spiritual "Misa Criolla," which is presented in a version for solo violin, vocal quartet, percussion, and string orchestra.

The album also includes a beautiful rendition of "Spiegel im Spiegel" by Arvo Pärt, as well as a hauntingly beautiful version of "Adagio in G Minor," formerly attributed to Albinoni.
