      About Claude Delvincourt

      Claude Delvincourt, a distinguished French composer and pianist, was born in Paris on January 12, 1888. A contemporary of Debussy and Ravel, Delvincourt's music is a testament to the rich tapestry of early 20th-century French classical music. His works, such as "Alto Saxophone Sonata in C-Sharp Major" and "Lucifer," showcase his unique compositional voice and technical prowess. Delvincourt's career was marked by significant achievements, including winning the prestigious Prix de Rome twice. Beyond his compositions, he was also renowned as an educator, leaving a lasting impact on the musical landscape. Delvincourt's life was tragically cut short in an automobile accident in Orbetello, Italy, on April 5, 1954.
