      About Donnacha Dennehy

      Donnacha Dennehy is a renowned Irish composer and artistic director of Dublin's Crash Ensemble, celebrated for his contemporary classical music. Born on August 17, 1970, in Dublin, Dennehy has made a significant impact on the international music scene with his rhythmically intense and sonically rich compositions. His collaborations with playwright Enda Walsh have resulted in a critically acclaimed trilogy of operas, including "The Last Hotel," "The Second Violinist," and "The First Child." Dennehy's work has been featured in prestigious festivals and venues worldwide, and his music is published by G. Schirmer in New York. Currently residing in America, he serves as a professor at Princeton University, where he also directs the Princeton Sound Kitchen. Dennehy's compositions, such as "The Hunger," delve into profound themes, offering listeners a deep and engaging musical experience.
