      About Göran Söllscher

      Göran Söllscher is a Swedish classical guitar virtuoso celebrated for his captivating performances and diverse musical interpretations, spanning from Bach to the Beatles. Born in Växjö in 1955, Söllscher's international career took off when he won the prestigious Concours International de Guitare in Paris at the age of 23. This victory led to a recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon, one of the world's leading classical music labels. With over 19 albums released and more than a million copies sold, Söllscher's music has resonated with audiences worldwide.

      Söllscher's journey began with his education at the Musikhögskolan in Malmö and the Royal Conservatory of Copenhagen, where he honed his skills under the guidance of renowned guitarist Per-Olof Johnson. His breakthrough in 1978 marked the start of a illustrious career that has seen him perform on stages across the globe, enchanting audiences with his technical prowess and artistic sensitivity. In addition to his performing career, Söllscher has been a professor at the Musikhögskolan in Malmö since 1994, inspiring the next generation of guitarists. Together with his son and daughter, Johan and Anna, he forms the Trio Söllscher, further enriching his musical legacy.
