      Rob Van Bavel is a renowned Dutch jazz pianist, composer, and educator, born in Breda in 1965. With a classical piano background, he graduated with the highest honors from the Rotterdam Conservatory in 1987. Van Bavel's musical journey is marked by numerous awards and a prolific career both as a performer and an educator. He leads his own orchestra, trio, and sextet, and has had the privilege of accompanying renowned jazz celebrities. His discography includes notable works like "Dutch Weather" and "Time for Ballads - The Maene Sessions," which showcase his mastery of the genre. As a dedicated teacher, Van Bavel shares his expertise at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatory, inspiring the next generation of musicians.
