      About Johann Zach

      Johann Zach, born in 1699 in Čelákovice, Bohemia, was a renowned Czech composer, violinist, and organist whose musical journey took him across Europe. Beginning his career in Prague, Zach's talent quickly earned him positions in prominent church choirs. His ambition led him to Augsburg, where he was appointed Kapellmeister of the Electoral orchestra at the court of Johann Friedrich Carl von Ostein, Prince-Elector of Mainz, in 1745. Zach's travels extended to Italy and Bohemia, enriching his musical style and influence.

      Throughout his career, Zach composed a variety of choral music, showcasing his mastery of the classical style. His works, characterized by their intricate compositions and emotional depth, continue to captivate audiences today.
