      Heiri Känzig, born in New York City in 1957, is a renowned Swiss bassist who has made a significant mark on the international jazz scene. With a career spanning over four decades, Känzig has collaborated with some of the most celebrated names in jazz, including bebop legend Daniel Humair, vocal innovator Bobby McFerrin, and the Vienna Art Orchestra. His musical journey began with studies in Zurich, Vienna, and Graz, leading to the formation of his own quartet in the early 1990s. Känzig's latest album "LOST & FOUND," featuring Michael Zisman on bandoneon, is set to be released on Universal Music, showcasing his versatility and mastery of the bass.
