      Album Details

Dive into the captivating world of Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst with "Complete Music, Vol. 4," a remarkable collection of his violin concertos and chamber works. Released on October 29, 2013, by Toccata Classics, this album spans a little over an hour and seven minutes, offering a rich tapestry of Ernst's musical genius.

The album features a stunning array of pieces, including the Violin Concerto in F-Sharp Minor, Op. 23, "Pathétique," a six-movement masterpiece that showcases Ernst's ability to blend technical virtuosity with deep emotional expression. The Violin Concertino in D Major, Op. 12, adds a lighter, more playful contrast with its three movements, while the String Quartet in B-Flat Major, Op. 26, rounds out the collection with its intricate and engaging quartet compositions.

Performed by the talented Sherban Lupu on violin, the Ciompi Quartet, Sinfonia da Camera, and conducted by Ian Hobson, this album brings together a stellar cast of musicians who breathe life into Ernst's compositions. Whether you're a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album offers a profound and enriching listening experience.
