      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the masterful conducting of Artur Rodzinski with this exceptional compilation, "Erich Kleiber & Artur Rodzinski," released on January 1, 2008, under the History label. This 2-hour and 8-minute journey through classical music features some of the most renowned symphonies and compositions, expertly conducted by the legendary Artur Rodzinski.

The album opens with Mozart's Symphony No. 38 in D major, "Prague," showcasing Rodzinski's ability to bring out the intricate details and grandeur of Mozart's orchestration. Following this, the album includes Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor, "Unfinished," a work that, despite its incomplete nature, stands as a testament to Schubert's genius.

The collection also features Richard Strauss' symphonic poem "Les Préludes," a powerful and dramatic piece that highlights Rodzinski's dynamic conducting style. Additionally, the album includes waltzes from Richard Strauss' opera "Der Rosenkavalier," providing a lighter contrast to the more substantial symphonic works.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor and Symphony No. 3 in C minor by Camille Saint-Saëns round out the album, demonstrating Rodzinski's versatility and mastery over a wide range of classical repertoire. This limited and numbered edition, originally created by David Sarnoff for Arturo Toscanini and further developed by Artur Rodzinski, offers a unique opportunity to experience the artistry of one of the 20th century's most influential conductors. Whether you're a seasoned classical music fan or a newcomer to the genre, this album is sure to captivate and inspire.
