      Album Details

Dive into the captivating world of trumpet music with Eric Aubier's stunning rendition of Ivan Jevtic's works for trumpet and orchestra. Released in 2001, this album is a testament to the virtuosity of both the composer and the performer, showcasing a collection of pieces that highlight the trumpet's versatility and expressive range.

The album features two full concertos by Ivan Jevtic, along with additional works that demonstrate the composer's mastery of the trumpet's capabilities. Eric Aubier, renowned for his technical prowess and musical sensitivity, brings these compositions to life with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Ola Rudner. The result is a compelling journey through a variety of musical landscapes, from the lively and energetic to the deeply introspective.

The album opens with the Concerto pour trompette No. 2, a work that showcases Jevtic's innovative approach to composition. The three movements—Allegro giusto, Lento, and Molto vivo—offer a dynamic range of emotions and technical challenges, each masterfully executed by Aubier. Following this, the Quasi una passacaglia provides a more contemplative interlude before the Divertimento pour deux trompettes et orchestre takes center stage. This piece, with its lively Allegro and reflective Quasi adagio, highlights the interplay between two trumpets and the orchestra, creating a rich tapestry of sound.

The album concludes with the Concerto pour trompette No. 1, another showcase of Jevtic's compositional genius. The three movements—Allegro, Adagio molto, and Allegro giusto—offer a satisfying conclusion to the album, demonstrating Aubier's ability to convey both power and subtlety.

With a total duration of 58 minutes, this album is a treasure trove for fans of classical music and trumpet enthusiasts alike. The collaboration between Eric Aubier, Ivan Jevtic, and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra results in a performance that is both technically impressive and deeply moving. Whether you are a seasoned concertgoer or a casual listener, this album is sure to captivate and inspire.
