      About Francis Lai

      Francis Lai, born in Nice, France, in 1932, was a self-taught musical prodigy who captivated audiences worldwide with his enchanting film scores. His career spanned over five decades, during which he composed music for more than 100 films, collaborating extensively with renowned director Claude Lelouch. Lai's breakthrough came with the iconic score for "A Man and a Woman" (1966), but it was his hauntingly beautiful theme for "Love Story" (1970) that earned him an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, cementing his status as a cinematic legend.
