Dive into the captivating world of contemporary classical music with "Double Triple Koppel," a remarkable album by the renowned Danish composer Anders Koppel. Released in June 2015 under the Dacapo SACD label, this album is a testament to Koppel's innovative compositional style and his ability to blend traditional and modern elements seamlessly.

The album features two stunning concertos: the "Double Concerto for Recorder & Saxophone" and the "Triple Concerto for Mezzo Saxophone, Cello & Harp." Each piece is a masterclass in orchestration, showcasing the unique timbres of the instruments and the exquisite interplay between them. The "Double Concerto" is performed by the legendary recorder player Michala Petri and saxophonist Benjamin Koppel, Anders Koppel's son, highlighting a beautiful familial collaboration. The "Triple Concerto" features a trio of soloists whose performances are as mesmerizing as they are technically demanding.

"Double Triple Koppel" is a rich tapestry of sound, with each movement offering a distinct mood and character. From the lively "Allegro moderato" to the serene "Larghetto," and the dynamic "Allegro," the album takes listeners on a journey through a variety of musical landscapes. The performances by the Odense Symfoniorkester, conducted by Henrik Vagn Christensen, are nothing short of spectacular, bringing Koppel's compositions to life with precision and passion.

With a duration of approximately 77 minutes, this album is a treasure trove for fans of modern classical music. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a curious newcomer, "Double Triple Koppel" promises an enriching and enjoyable listening experience.
