      About Gil Goldstein

      Gil Goldstein is a celebrated American jazz pianist, synthesizer player, and accordionist, born on December 6, 1950, in Baltimore, MD. With a career spanning nearly four decades, Goldstein has become a highly influential figure in the jazz world, known for his exceptional skill and innovative arrangements. He has won five Grammy Awards and has been nominated eight times, showcasing his immense talent and contribution to the genre.

      Goldstein's musical journey began with the accordion, and he later transitioned to piano and synthesizer, becoming a sought-after collaborator for renowned musicians such as Pat Martino, Jim Hall, Billy Cobham, and the Gil Evans Orchestra. His mentorship under the legendary Gil Evans helped him develop his arranging craft, leading to collaborations with artists like Milton Nascimento, Randy Brecker, Pat Metheny, and Michael Brecker, among others.

      Beyond his work with other artists, Goldstein has also composed music for films, including "Radio Inside" and "Simply Irresistible."
