      Album Details

Druvi de Saram's "De Saram In Concert, Vol.2" is a captivating journey through the world of classical cello music, released in 2014 under the Claudio Records label. This album showcases Druvi de Saram's exceptional skill and artistry, featuring a collection of 11 tracks that span a little over an hour and a half. The album is a testament to the timeless beauty of classical compositions, with pieces from renowned composers such as Luigi Boccherini, Johannes Brahms, and Sergei Prokofiev.

The album opens with Boccherini's Cello Sonata No. 6 in A Major, G. 4, followed by a series of sonatas and pieces that highlight de Saram's technical prowess and emotional depth. The inclusion of Prokofiev's "Eos" and Ravel's "Pièce en forme de habanera" (arranged for cello and piano) adds a touch of modernity and variety to the classical repertoire. The collaboration with Rohan de Saram, a renowned cellist in his own right, adds an extra layer of richness to the performances.

Druvi de Saram's playing is characterized by its clarity, precision, and expressive phrasing. Each piece on the album is rendered with a keen sense of musicality and a deep understanding of the composer's intent. Whether it's the lively Allegro vivace of Brahms' Cello Sonata No. 2 in F Major, Op. 99 or the delicate Adagio affettuoso, de Saram's performances are nothing short of breathtaking.

This album is a must-listen for fans of classical music and cello enthusiasts alike. It offers a comprehensive overview of Druvi de Saram's artistry and provides a delightful listening experience from start to finish.
