      Philippe Gaubert (1879–1941) was a multifaceted French musician whose talents spanned performance, composition, and conducting. Renowned for his virtuosity on the flute, Gaubert began his career as a principal flautist with the Paris Opéra before ascending to the role of professor of flute at the prestigious Paris Conservatoire. His compositions, though not as widely known outside of flute circles, are celebrated for their beauty and have become staples in the flute repertoire. Gaubert's contributions to music extend beyond his flute works, encompassing a diverse range of compositions that showcase his versatility and depth as a composer. As a conductor, he led the Orchestre De La Société Des Concerts Du, leaving a lasting impact on the Parisian musical scene between the wars.
