Concierto De Aranjuez - Paco de Lucía

      Album Details

In 1992, the legendary flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía delivered a masterful performance with his album "Concierto De Aranjuez." This captivating release features a live recording from Teatro Bulevar de la Casa de la Cultura in Torrelodones, Spain, where de Lucía collaborates with the renowned Orquesta De Cadaqués, conducted by Edmon Colomer. The album showcases de Lucía's virtuosic guitar skills alongside the orchestral arrangements of Joaquín Rodrigo's iconic "Concierto de Aranjuez," a piece celebrated for its lyrical beauty and technical demands. The album also includes selections from Isaac Albéniz's "Iberia," further highlighting de Lucía's ability to blend flamenco with classical traditions. With tracks like "Allegro Con Spirito," "Adagio," and "Allegro Gentile" from the concerto, as well as "Triana," "Albaicín," and "Puerto" from "Iberia," this album offers a rich tapestry of sounds that span from lively and spirited to deeply contemplative. Recorded in 1991 and released the following year, "Concierto De Aranjuez" stands as a testament to de Lucía's artistry and his enduring influence on both flamenco and classical music.
