      Album Details

Roberto Sierra's "Concerto Premieres," released in 2011 under the Fleur de Son label, is a captivating journey through the realms of classical music, showcasing Sierra's exceptional compositional prowess. The album spans 59 minutes and features nine tracks, divided into three distinct concertos: "Concierto Caribe," "Of Discoveries," and "Concierto Evocativo."

Each concerto is a masterclass in musical storytelling, with Sierra expertly weaving together intricate melodies and rhythms. "Concierto Caribe" opens the album with its three movements, "Figuras," "Claro de luna," and "Sabor," each offering a unique flavor of Caribbean influences. The final concerto, "Concierto Evocativo," concludes the album with its dynamic trio of movements: "Lento," "Scherzando," and "Ritmico y energico."

Performances on the album are brought to life by the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Arie Lipsky, with Bonita Boyd contributing her virtuoso clarinet skills.
