      The Orchestre de l'ORTF was a renowned French orchestra that left an indelible mark on classical music from its inception in 1941 until its dissolution in 1975. Initially known as the Orchestre lyrique de l'ORTF, it specialized in light classical music, operettas, and select operas, captivating audiences with its refined performances. The orchestra underwent a transformation in 1964, becoming the Orchestre philharmonique de l'ORTF, tackling some of the most challenging concertos in the repertoire.
