      Album Details

Narek Hakhnazaryan, the acclaimed cellist, presents his latest album "Chant du ménestrel," a captivating collection of classical pieces that showcase his extraordinary talent and musical versatility. Released on October 17, 2025, under the Ars Produktion label, this album is a testament to Hakhnazaryan's artistry, featuring a blend of well-known compositions and lesser-heard gems, all masterfully arranged for cello and orchestra.

The album opens with Tchaikovsky's enchanting "Vocalise" from his 14 Romances, Op. 34, and closes with the hauntingly beautiful "Chant du ménestrel," Op. 71, by the same composer. In between, you'll find a diverse range of pieces, including Tchaikovsky's "Nocturne" from his 6 Pieces, Op. 19, and his "Variations on a Rococo Theme," Op. 33. The album also features arrangements of works originally composed for other instruments, such as the "Lament" from the Suite for Viola and Orchestra "Well Tempered Chanson" and the "Melancholy" movement from the Suite No. 3 for Piano and Orchestra "Childhood Memories."

Joining Narek Hakhnazaryan on this musical journey is the renowned Wiener Symphoniker, conducted by his brother, Tigran Hakhnazaryan. Their collaboration brings a rich, orchestral depth to these pieces, complementing Hakhnazaryan's expressive and nuanced cello playing. The album spans a duration of approximately 1 hour and 9 minutes, offering a substantial and satisfying listening experience.

"Chant du ménestrel" is not just an album; it's a celebration of Narek Hakhnazaryan's musical prowess and his ability to breathe new life into these timeless compositions. Whether you're a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album promises to captivate and inspire.
