      About Antonio Caldara

      Antonio Caldara, born in Venice around 1670, was a prolific Italian Baroque composer whose musical journey took him across Europe, leaving an indelible mark on the classical music landscape. Beginning his career as a chorister at St. Mark's Basilica, Caldara honed his skills under the tutelage of Giovanni Legrenzi, mastering composition, viola da gamba, cello, and keyboard.
