      Tina May, born Daphne Christina May, was a beloved English jazz vocalist renowned for her buoyancy and warmth on stage. Hailing from Gloucester, May's career was marked by her seductive phrasing and wide vocal range, making her one of Britain's most popular vocalists. Her repertoire spanned French jazz and vocal jazz, showcasing her ability to handle a diverse selection of material with aplomb. Tina May passed away in March 2022, just days before her 61st birthday, leaving behind a legacy of captivating performances and a deep love for the art of jazz.
