      About Ignaz Brüll

Ignaz Brüll, born in Moravia in 1846 and passing away in Vienna in 1907, was a prolific Austrian pianist and composer, deeply rooted in the late Romantic era. A close friend of Johannes Brahms, Brüll's musical prowess extended across various genres, including opera, piano sonatas, and ballets. His operatic works, such as "Das goldene Kreuz" and "Der Landfriede," showcased his dramatic flair, while his piano compositions, like his D-minor Piano Sonata (Op. 73), revealed his intimate connection with the instrument.
