      Lori Freedman is a dynamic and versatile clarinetist, composer, and improviser who has made a significant impact on both the contemporary classical and free jazz scenes. Born and raised in Toronto, she has been based in Québec since 2001, where she has built a solid international reputation. Lori is known for her virtuosic performances and her ability to seamlessly blend genres, often touring with multiple instruments including the contrabass, bass, and B-flat clarinets.

      As a solo artist, Lori has released captivating albums such as "Solus" and "Snaggle," showcasing her innovative compositions and improvisational skills. She is also renowned for her collaborations, notably as one half of the avant-garde jazz duo Queen Mab. Her career began with orchestral performances, including tenures with the Winnipeg and Vancouver orchestras, before she ventured into the world of contemporary and experimental music.
