      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of classical music with Takako Nishizaki's exquisite album, "Brahms: Violin Concerto / Bruch: Scottish Fantasy." Released on January 1, 2007, under the esteemed Naxos label, this album is a testament to Nishizaki's virtuosity and her deep connection with the violin.

The album features two monumental works: Johannes Brahms' Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77, and Max Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, Op. 46. Brahms' concerto, a cornerstone of the violin repertoire, is presented in its entirety, showcasing Nishizaki's technical prowess and emotional depth. The concerto's three movements—Allegro non troppo, Adagio, and Allegro giocoso, ma non troppo vivace—offer a rich tapestry of musical expression.

The second half of the album is dedicated to Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, a piece inspired by Scottish folk melodies. Nishizaki's interpretation brings out the lyrical beauty and rhythmic vitality of this enchanting work, divided into four movements: Introduction. Grave, Adagio cantabile, Scherzo. Allegro, and Finale. Allegro guerriero.

With a total duration of 1 hour and 14 minutes, this album is a comprehensive exploration of two iconic violin works. Takako Nishizaki's masterful playing, combined with the high-quality production standards of Naxos, makes this album a treasure trove for classical music enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned listener or new to the genre, this album promises a rewarding and enriching experience.
