      About Benjamin Frith

      Benjamin Frith is a distinguished British classical pianist, born in South Yorkshire, England, on 11 October 1957. His musical journey began at the tender age of ten under the tutelage of the renowned Fanny Waterman. By fourteen, he had already made a significant mark by winning the National Concerto Competition in Dudley. Frith's repertoire is impressively diverse, spanning from the timeless works of Bach and Scarlatti to the modern compositions of Tippett. Beyond his solo performances, he is also a cherished member of the Gould Piano Trio and the founder of the Frith Piano Quartet. His collaborations extend to notable ensembles like the Endellion and Dante string quartets, and he frequently performs piano duos with Peter Hill. Frith's deep connection with the Steinway piano, which began in his childhood, adds a personal touch to his performances. His recordings, including a notable survey of John Field's piano concertos, have left a lasting impression on classical music enthusiasts.
