      Album Details

The 'Bernstein & Schnittke' album, released on 1 January 2010 by Les Dissonances, is a captivating collection of chamber music masterpieces. Featuring the works of renowned composers, this album showcases a beautiful blend of intricate melodies and harmonies.

The album commences with the 'Serenade for Solo Violin, String Orchestra, Harp and Percussion after Plato's 'Symposium'', a five-movement piece that takes the listener on a journey through the philosophical discussions of ancient Greece. Each movement is dedicated to a different character from Plato's 'Symposium', resulting in a unique and thought-provoking musical experience.

The 'Concerto Grosso No. 1' is another highlight of the album, comprising six movements that demonstrate the composer's mastery of contrasting tempos and moods. From the serene 'Preludio' to the energetic 'Rondo', this concerto is a true showcase of musical virtuosity.

The album also features 'Moz-art à la Haydn', a delightful piece for two violins, two small string orchestras, double bass, and conductor. This work is a testament to the composer's ability to craft innovative and engaging music.

With a total duration of 1 hour and 14 minutes, the 'Bernstein & Schnittke' album is a must-listen for fans of chamber music. Unfortunately, the artist name is not specified, however, the music speaks for itself, and the skillful performance brings these complex compositions to life. Released under the Les Dissonances label, this album is a valuable addition to any classical music collection.
