      About Bernhard Stavenhagen

      Bernhard Stavenhagen (1862–1914) was a German pianist, composer, and conductor whose musical style was deeply influenced by the legendary Franz Liszt, whom he studied under as one of his last pupils. Born on November 24, 1862, Stavenhagen made his debut in Berlin at the age of eighteen, showcasing his virtuoso talents. He later became a professor at the University of Weimar, Hochschule fur Musik Franz Liszt, further cementing his legacy in the classical music world. Stavenhagen's discography, featuring works like the Hungarian Rhapsody, continues to captivate audiences, offering a glimpse into his brilliant and influential career.
