      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of classical music with Zino Francescatti's "Beethoven, Mozart & Bach: Violin Sonatas." Released in 2005 under Biddulph Recordings, this album is a masterful collection of violin sonatas that showcase the virtuosity of one of the most celebrated violinists of the 20th century. Spanning a little over an hour and ten minutes, the album features iconic compositions from three of the most revered composers in history: Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach.

Francescatti's impeccable technique and profound musicality shine through in each of the thirteen tracks. The album opens with Bach's Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Major, BWV 1015, a piece that exemplifies the composer's intricate and harmonious style. Following this, Mozart's Violin Sonata No. 33 in E-Flat Major, K. 481, is performed with a grace and precision that highlights the composer's lyrical genius. The album concludes with Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 4 in A Minor, Op. 23, a work that demonstrates Francescatti's ability to convey the depth and passion of Beethoven's music.

Accompanied by the esteemed pianist Robert Casadesus, Francescatti delivers a performance that is both technically brilliant and emotionally resonant. Whether you are a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album offers a rich and rewarding listening experience. The meticulous attention to detail and the seamless collaboration between Francescatti and Casadesus make this album a standout in the world of classical recordings.
