      Album Details

"Audio Rebel" is a captivating live album by Swiss trombonist Samuel Blaser, capturing his first Brazilian tour in 2013. Recorded at the Audio Rebel concert space in Rio de Janeiro, this release is a testament to Blaser's improvisational prowess and his deep connection with the avant-garde and free jazz scenes. Joined by French guitarist Marc Ducret, the duo delivers a raw and intense performance that spans seven tracks, each a unique exploration of their musical dialogue.

The album opens with the title track, "Audio Rebel," setting the stage for the improvisational journey that follows. "Rio" and "São Paolo" pay homage to the cities that inspired the tour, while tracks like "L'ampleur des dégâts" and "Le blues de l'ombra" delve into the darker, more introspective aspects of their collaboration. The album's final track, "Cabo Frio," brings the set to a close with a sense of resolution and reflection.

Produced by Samuel Blaser himself, "Audio Rebel" was mixed and mastered by Matthieu Metzger, ensuring that the live energy of the performance is preserved. The album's duration of 47 minutes is a testament to the intensity and focus of the duo's playing, making it a compelling listen from start to finish. Released on Blaser's own label, Blaser Music, "Audio Rebel" is a bold statement from one of the most exciting voices in contemporary jazz.
