      About Lee Konitz

      Lee Konitz, a pioneering figure in jazz, left an indelible mark on the genre with his distinctive alto saxophone playing and innovative compositions. Born in Chicago in 1927, Konitz emerged as a key figure in the cool jazz movement of the 1950s, known for his melodic improvisations and cool-toned sound.
