      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the timeless brilliance of classical music with Claudio Abbado's "Abbado A-Z: Bach - Bartók." This exceptional album, released on February 3, 2023, under the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label, is a testament to Abbado's enduring legacy as one of the most celebrated conductors of our time. Spanning a generous duration of 3 hours and 4 minutes, this collection is a comprehensive journey through the masterpieces of Johann Sebastian Bach and Béla Bartók.

The album opens with Bach's iconic Brandenburg Concertos, performed live at the Teatro Romolo Valli in Reggio Emilia, 2007. Each concerto is a marvel of Baroque composition, showcasing Bach's unparalleled ability to weave intricate melodies and harmonies. From the lively Allegro of Concerto No. 1 to the graceful Adagio of Concerto No. 3, Abbado's interpretation brings a fresh perspective to these timeless pieces.
