      Stanley Clarke, born in Philadelphia in 1951, is a legendary bassist, composer, and founding member of the pioneering jazz fusion band Return to Forever. With a career spanning over five decades, Clarke has revolutionized the role of the bass guitar in jazz and fusion music, becoming the first jazz-fusion bassist to headline global tours and achieve gold record status. His virtuosic playing style, characterized by rapid patterns and innovative slapping techniques, has influenced generations of musicians. Clarke's discography is vast and diverse, encompassing numerous albums, film scores, and collaborations with jazz and pop legends. A four-time Grammy Award winner, Clarke continues to inspire and innovate, recently embarking on a world tour with his band 4EVER and establishing The Stanley Clarke Foundation to support young musicians. His upcoming single "Silly Putty" is set to release in 2024. Clarke's impact on music is immeasurable, making him a true icon in the world of jazz and fusion.
